The topic of the Conference

The international scientific conference "Europe 2010 – Together in the fight against poverty and social exclusion within the context of the Millennium Development Goals and the role of international aid“ was realized in cooperation with the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion 2010. It follows regular conferences that have traditionally been organized by Faculty of Economics Matej Bel University Banska Bystrica and the European Commission Representation in Slovakia in cooperation with partners. The conference goal was to support professional and academic debate on issues of combating poverty and social exclusion in a wider geographic range and the importance of the Millennium Development Goals and development aid as a vision for more sustainable development in future periods.
